Batik Fun Walk .. 2010

so as promised ... we joined another Fun Walk this year ... this time the theme is Batik .. as you can find in my previous post ... http://nonvespa.blogspot.com/2010/11/batik-fun-walk.html .. this Batik Fun Walk just involved a 3.9k walk ... the event started and finished at Seri Pacific Hotel ... so the very early in the morning we already at the hotel settling our registration ..

what interesting with this fun walk ? all participants can come with their most creative batik attire and if they are dare enough to wear it and walk 3.9k .. all participants got a batik sarong upon registration ... after registration the event started with a warm-up session "choreographed" by Cikgu Linda Jasmin ... so all the participants already sweating way before they started their walking session ..

after the warm-up session .. all the participants were flagged off by Khairi Jamaluddin ... actually not many joining this fun walk ... don't know why .. maybe lack of promotion, due to festive season (hari raya haji) or peoples lazy to join axtivity like this ... and on the same day got another Fun Walk nearby at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa ... it's FREE ... i think this the another reason why the crowd is quite small ...

Mr. MCs of the day .. Mr. Azrul si Warung Kita and the Raja Lawak .. participants were presented with artists from AF after finished their walk ... among artists were Mila, Maulana and Daus ...

the route of the event brings all the walkers into the greenish and scenery of Bukit Tunku area ..

so looking forward to next fun walk in the future ... what great about fun walk ? you could have fun all the way without stress ... one type of "release tension" mechanism ... ^_^

World Walking Day 2010

21st Nov is a Walking Day ? ... so this is our chances to walk with full of crowd .. for those from KL can join the walk at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa .. near Istana Budaya and also HKL .. to be exact Jalan Pahang and Jalan Tun Razak ..

this is the itinerary ...

the events is organised is several other places such as Penang, Kuantan, JB, Penampang and Kuching ... for Penangites they also have Penang Bridge International Marathon on the same date .. and in KL the will be another Fun Walk in Seri Pacific Hotel .. which is Batik Fun Walk ... in will be joining this events with my team ... already go shopping for our best Batik outfit for the fun walk ...^_^

back to the World Walking Day in TTwangsa ...It's All FREE ...

Fun Bowl ...

went bowling this weekend ... after a year then ... this was my office's TIME OUT session ... some times you needs time out and fun activity like this ... just for stress release session ^_^ .. the turn out .. quite interesting .. with the support from the BIG BOSS ..

hope not bowl into the "longkang" .. but who cares ... the best things is enjoy and have fun ..
still the best strategy to win ... we were divided into 6 groups ...

International Cross Country Genting 2010

at the first place I do not have any intention to join this race ... suddendly when I read Berita Harian (BH) "if you want to run at genting .. send email to BH" .. if lucky you might have a chance to compete in the race .. for FREE ... yeah for FREE ... you can read my post on this opportunity http://nonvespa.blogspot.com/2010/09/genting-trailblazer-2010.html ...

so maybe it my lucky month ... on 08 October 2010 .. I received this email ...

so without any further hesitation ... I replied to the email mentioned that I would like to participate in the race ... actually there were 2 races ... one is Cross Country on 30/10/10 and the other one is Trailblazer 31/10/10 .. Cross Country which have participated was a solo event (12K, 8K and 6K) .. mean while Trailblazer is a mixed team (14K) ... so I went for the farthest .. 12K ...

this is my first race in Genting and also my first trip there ... what bother me most wether my 1.3 car can climb the road up to genting awana ... this because the event started at Awana Genting .. so finally my car managed to climb to the top of Genting ... I even saw Kancil can over took my car ...

we (bring along my loyal supporters) went day one day earlier .. the race flagged on Saturday for Cross Country ... so better we go there one day earlier and have enough rest before the rest .. luckily for all runners during the briefing on Friday .. there was rain like dogs and cats ... so all runners must have on their mind what to expect on the race day itself ... the weather at Genting quite chilly with the rain ...

so come to the race day ... the weather was nice and the sun shined all over awana genting ... the race was flagged off at football field ... a short walk from the hotel ... the reporting time was from 7.00 - 8.00 am ... so I went there around 7.30am after finished my simple breakfast ... so went to the football field and met other runners from Chap Ayam .. many familiar faces at the race ... many runners also ran Trailblazer on Sunday .. so the Cross Country only for warm-up ...

after warm-up with instructors from Fitness First ... the race flagged off at 8.30am ... men open category was the first to flagged off followed by other category 8K and 6K ... at the beginning the track was quite nice ... all runners will go down the hill and needed to run around the awana hotel before headed to the golf course .... after the golf course than all runners will enter the hardest part of the race .. the HILL ...

one runner said .. if you go down ... the very sure you need to climb up .. it the very truly true ... after the golf course and go down the hill ... the hardest part patiently waiting there for you ... "climb climb .. climb the hill" ... for the 12K category all the runners have to go thru the same route twice ... that means twice climbed the hill ...

what event the hurdle I faced in this race .. it was a new experience ... I hope can come back for next year race ... I managed to clocked 1:59:45 ... (15 second from the cut off time for the 12K category ^_^) ... for me this race even harder and tough then running 21K or marathon ... it push you to the limit ...

Next race: CICM Responsible Care Run at Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil .. as usual c u there .. ADIOS

RON 97 up 5 sen ? Betulkah ini ...

According to the Sun ... minyak naik lagi ... betulkah ? ? ? betul la agaknya .. kalau naik selalunya cepat turunnya aje lambat .. kadang-kadang tak ada nya turun ... sesetengah orang tak terasa sangat kalau setakat 5 sen .. tapi bagi kebanyakkan rakyat .. berapa sen sekali pun akan membebankan ... harap-harap ada penjelasan jitu dari pihak berwajib ..

Paling terasa akibat kenaikan harga minyak ialah pada 2008 ... tak bergerak meter minyak kalau setakat isi 10 hengget ... ramai jugak yang bertukar kepada gas dan tak kurang jugak yang kreatif buat sendiri tabung gas .. apa-apa pon kena sentiasa berjimat cermat la ... macam-macam boleh jadi skrg ni ...

[Kenaikan harga petrol kepada RM2.70 seliter dan diesel kepada RM2.58 seliter merupakan peningkatan sebanyak 40 peratus dan 63 peratus berbanding harga sebelumnya.] -kenaikan pada 2008
